Primitiva “Vivian” V. Sabulao – President, BOW, Inc. -Board of Directors.
Vivian, was born in Bais City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. In the late 70’s She moved to Kidapawan, Cotabato , where her husband is from. Embracing her new home at the foot of the highest peak in the Philippines, Mt Apo, she established Alpha Performing Arts Center, a school for dance and theater arts cultivating a love for the performing arts among the children and youth in Kidapawan. She also finished her degree in Business Administration at the Central Mindanao Colleges in Kidapawan City. Vivian is currently pursuing her MBA at Negros Oriental State University, Dumaguete City, Philippines.
In 1990. Vivian and her husband, migrated to America and served as church workers for Agape Christian Fellowship, in Randallstown, Maryland. She also worked part-time as a customer’s service associate at WAWA, Inc. and later, as a sales representative at Nordstrom, Inc. In 2003, Vivian worked full time for Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc.,or BNI, one of the oldest Fair Housing Rights advocacy group in the country. She worked for 17 years at BNI as a Tenant/Landlord Counselor and later as a Fair Housing Rights Specialist. In 2020 -2021, Vivian worked for the Fair Housing Rights Center of Southern Pennsylvania.
Vivian is currently focused on serving at BOW, Inc. while she continues to be actively involved in church ministry at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Lutherviile, MD leading Bible studies and helping facilitate community related events involving the Trinitylife Filipino community. She is also a member of the Trinity life Choir and is a volunteer for Araminta Project, Convoy of Hope, Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine and Royal Family Kids Camp.
Vivian’s passion to help others and her strong experience in customer service, networking and project management enables her to boldly lead Baisanons of the World, Inc.
Vivian is happily married and lives in Baltimore City, Maryland. She has 4 married daughters and 7 grandchildren.
Elvie Abilla Kaelin- Vice President – BOW, Inc., Board of Directors
Elvie was born and raised in Bais City, Negros Oriental. She earned her degree in Nursing at the Angeles City Foundation College, Angeles City, Philippines. She currently works as an OR nurse at the Valley View Surgery Center in Las Vegas. She resides in the World’s Entertainment Capital with her husband, Rick Kaelin, a retired Air Force officer. They have one son, Jason.
Her love for Baisanons is evident in her commitment to the BOW Leadership Team. She takes pride in organizing the Tapok Baisanons (Reunion) in Las Vegas. She multitasks as host driver/tour guide to her Baisanon guests and opening her home as the Baisanons headquarters in Las Vegas.
One of our organization’s main thrusts is to help the Bais District Hospital by sending used or new equipments so that every Baisanon can enjoy better health services for free or at a minimal cost. Elvie spearheaded the “ 2016 Free Over the Counter Medicine and Supplements Distribution “ in Bais City. That project helped 200 low income families affected by Dengue fever who otherwise could not have afforded to buy fever medicine and supplements for their children and their elderly family members.
In her free time, she enjoys watching shows, movies, enjoying karaoke sessions with friends or taking a walk with her dog, Django.
michael john "Aito" Romero Montesa – Secretary, Board of Director
In the mid 80’s Michael moved from Bais City to California and there he finished his degree in Business Administration at the California State University in Los Angeles, CA.
Michael is an expert in Time Management, Leadership & Communication. He has extensive experience in operations, project management, supervision, and back-office support in the EDI and Banking environment. He has a track record of improving efficiency, productivity, and profitability through automation and process improvement. He is passionate about quality, project completion, and customer satisfaction. He possesses outstanding interpersonal/”soft skills”, motivational, and presentation skills. He is analytical, articulate, diligent, experienced in implementation and administration of policies and procedures.
Michael is MS Office proficient(Excel, Word, Access, Projects, Visio, Power Point, Outlook), Lotus Notes, AS400 Expert, He is familiar with Network Engineering WAN/MAN/LAN, Information Security, Server Hardware, and Database Administration. He has the ability to follow PMI standards to manage projects through the project lifecycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure. Michael keeps record of Baisanons of the World’s activities and maintains the organization’s group email. He is also co- administrator of the Baisanons of the World, Inc’s Facebook group page. He is the group’s tech guru with a heart. He loves Baisanons; he is inspired to help and make a change.
Michael lives in Arizona with his wife, Ruth and their 4 children.
Candice B. Bello – Baisanons of the World, Treasurer
Candice Buenavista Bello, a native Baisanon, joined BOW in 2011 .
Candice earned her degree in Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Negros Oriental State University, Bais City, Philippines in the year 2003. In 2008, she migrated to the United States to work as a grade school teacher at Apopka Christian Academy, Apopka, FL . In 2009, she got a position as a pre- school teacher at Deerwood Academy in Jacksonville, FL, where she now continues to teach.
Candice has a strong background in office administration . She worked as office clerk and cashier at the Standard Insurance Co., Inc., Bais City Philippines. She is computer literate and is good with records keeping. She is skilled in doing tasks in an orderly and timely fashion making her perfect for the Treasurer position.
Candice and her husband, Aldo, hosted the Baisanons Tapok ( Reunion) in Orlando ,Florida in 2016. More than 40 families from Bais City gathered for the event. It turned out to be a weekend to remember because of the excellent organizing skills of Candice and the joint efforts of the officers and volunteers.
At home, Candice is an excellent cook and a self taught Interior decorator. She is happily married and is a mother of 5 children.
She is also Proprietor/Manager of the “A & C Cleaning Services”, 7740 Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, FL.
Elmer Oliver A. Sabulao, - Incorporator, PRO – Board of Directors
Elmer earned his Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines. His first job after college was as Public Relations Officer for the National Food Authority in Kidapawan, Cotabato , Philippines. He not only loved and married a Baisanon, he also fell in love with the place and its people. He considers Bais City as his second hometown
Baisanons of the World, Inc. has benefited greatly from Elmer’s background in public relations. His dynamic personality makes him an effective spokesperson and liaison officer for the organization. Elmer has excellent people skills and has a solid background in customer service. He has a Landscaping business serving in the Washington, D.C and Maryland areas.
Elmer also serves in the Ways and Means Committee of Baisanons of the World. His skills in networking and marketing helps the organization tremendously. Being raised in a family of educators, Elmer believes strongly in education and character building – focused projects, skills training and mentoring the youth. He loves being with his family, especially, taking nature trips with his 7 grandkids. You can also find him serving in the church ministry, leading a Filipino group at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Lutherville, MD. He is also a volunteer for the Araminta Project , Convoy of Hope, Tim Tebow’s Nigh t to Shine and other Trinitylife Ministries.
Elmer is an Eagle Scout and a member of the International Order of DeMolay, Feliciano Inigo Chapter, Davao City, Philippines. He lives in Baltimore City, Maryland with his wife and family. He has 4 daughters and 7 grandchildren.
Janet Villafuerte Nepomuceno – Member, Board of Directors
Janet was born and raised in Bais City, Negros Oriental.
She earned 2 degrees : Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Philippines) and Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences (USA California)
Janet currently works as a Radiologic Technologist and a CT Technologist at two hospitals in Murrieta, California.
She was Sangguniang Kabataan ( Youth Council) Chairman of Barangay Looc, Bais City and a member of the Barangay Council CY 2002 2005. Awarded as Most Outstanding SK Chairman for the entire Region 7, representing Negros Oriental. A (TOBOY) awardee sponsored by DILG and the Most Outstanding SK Chairman for the City of Bais (to mention a few).
Janet now resides in Murrieta, California with her loving husband and their dog. She has a great compassion for the poor and even helps others in her own way. Janet is a God centered person who loves traveling, outdoor activities, and sports. An active BOW, Inc. Member since 2014.
Alde Abilla, Member, Board of Directors
Alde earned his degree in Business Administration, major in Business Management from the second oldest college in the province, St. Paul College in Dumaguete City, Philippines.
As a young professional, he served as Public Relations Officer of the Bais City Young Professionals Organization and helped in the Ways and Means Committee which organized fund raisers to support the group’s different projects.
In 1985, Alde moved to Manila from Bais City, where he worked in sales as an Account Executive at Filway Corporation, Inc., Philippines. He also worked as Showroom Manager for Cathay Builder Center, Inc., Philippines. In 1990, Alde migrated to the USA.
Since 2011, Alde joined BOW, Inc. and has been a faithful member of the Board of Directors. He has served as the Chairperson the Events & Program Committee since 2012.
His expertise in organizing events, and his skill identifying appropriate venues, budgeting and networking, make him a very valuable member of the team. He connects with so many Baisanons and enjoys reaching out to them regardless of their location in the world. Alde is Baisanons of the World’s counterpart to Michael Buble’, assuring great entertainment at every BOW,INC Tapok or Gathering Alde currently works as a customer service representative in one of the establishments in Las Vegas, NV.
Alde is single and has a beautiful daughter, Abigail.
