history

Baisanons of the World, Inc ( BOW, INC) was born in 2011 when likeminded friends thought about how they can encourage other Baisanons to unite and give back to their fellow Baisanons back home. The first Tapok Baisanons or Gathering was launched in Las Vegas with Ric & Elvie Kaelin hosting the event. The goal was to organize a core group that would establish connections with other Baisanons who have migrated to North America, Canada and other places around the globe.

More than 35 Baisanons attended the event, from the East and West coast, Canada and a few from the Philippines came to meet up with long lost neighbors, relatives, former classmates, and friends. People were excited to reconnect and talk about how they could preserve the Baisanon culture and also give back to our fellow Baisanons back home.

In 2012, Baisanons of the World, Inc. was incorporated by high school classmates,Vivian Villanueva Sabulao, Elvie Abilla Kaelin along with Elmer Sabulao . In March 12, 2019, Baisanons of the World,Inc. got its tax exempt 501-C 3 status. To date, Baisanons of the World has done numerous projects to help their fellow Baisanons back home.

BOW,Inc’s latest project was the Educational Supplies distribution in Olympia Island Elementary School last Sept 17, 2022. We were able to served 140 Elementary pupils with the goal of encouraging the kids to get back to face to face education. These kids’ families were hard hit by the super typhoon Odette last Dec 2021. Through the generosity of fellow Baisanons and friends from other regions and countries, we were able to extend much needed help to our elementary school children in that island. We are also grateful for our faithful volunteers who helped in the packing and distribution of the goods. Kudos to the Olympia Island Elementary School Faculty and Staff led by Mr Ge Esplegera, who eagerly distributed the supplies to their students.
